今天是端午节，大家伙都在家里忙着过端午节。我们姊妹几个也聚在母亲家过节吃饭。想起小时候过端午节的情形，大家七嘴八舌说起来。小妹嘴快，先说起来了，还是小时候过端午节热闹，一个礼拜前就有过节的气氛了。那时候农村交通不太发达，好多小商小贩就来村里卖红枣和糯米，天天上学回来第一件事就是看家里买了红枣和糯米没有。买了多少，好第二天上学去给别的同学炫耀，粽叶皮是不用买的，我们那有个芦韦塘，勤快的人还可以打上卖给贩子，过端午节的钱就有了。
那时我们那很少包粽子的，都是蒸年糕的。端午节前一天下午，家家户户就开始煮粽叶皮，泡糯米，洗红枣。到了天快黑，大人就开始包年糕了。我们就在旁边凑热闹，吃红枣。蒸年糕也是个技术活，包好了年糕在水里煮一晚上，也不会散开，端午节早上打开年糕津津的，包不好的，煮到半晚就会散开，端午节就没的吃的了。不过我们从来都不担心，母亲包的年糕是村里有名的，又好吃又瓷实。
年糕包好了，要开始煮年糕了，说包年糕是技术活，煮年糕可是件累人的活，从晚上差不多十点开始，要煮到半个夜四五点，那时都是加柴火煮的。家家户户为了煮年糕，都早早挖好了大树根，晒干劈好，放一次柴火差不多可以烧一个小时。到了端午节的早晨，等我们起来，母亲已经炸好了油饼，从田埂上?回了艾叶。院子也扫的干干净净。
看到我们起来了，母亲就用油饼包上一大块年糕给我们吃，黄灿烂的油艾叶插在大门口，这阵各家各户人差不多都出来了，小孩子都拿着父母前面买好五彩丝线开始编五彩绳，老人说是“长命缕”，拴在各自的手腕和脚?，谁的漂亮就说谁可以长命百岁。
家里有出嫁一两年的女儿今天和新女婿要回娘家来，没小孩的娘家还有小弟弟妹妹的，姐姐都会做好香囊给弟妹，传说香囊有避邪驱瘟之意。香囊内有朱砂，雄黄香药，外包以丝巾，清香四溢，再以五香丝弦扣成索，做成不同形状，结成一串形形色色，玲珑可爱的香囊。女儿有小孩的，娘家妈妈早就坐好了-鞋，名字不好听，做的却很非常精致，鞋面是黑金丝绒的，红布包边，鞋前面绣着一只栩栩如生的-，鼓的眼睛，五彩丝线做的腿，也是取避邪驱瘟之意。
现在过端午节了已经成了大家放假休息的节日了，条件好的就出去旅游去了，没时间的就大家伙聚在一起吃饭，就算过端午节了。小时候的热闹是一去不返了。
小妹一口气把花说完了，大家也陷入沉思，虽然现在生活条件好了，想买什么都可以买到，小时候过节的那种期盼，那份发自内心的悦却再也找不回来了。
